2. Paso Robles has a climate all of its own.
The ‘Templeton Gap’ is a notch in the coastal Santa Lucia mountain range that allows cool, fresh marine air to cascade inland. This cooling influence upon Paso Roble’s vineyards is partly responsible for the quality and complexity in the local wines.
3. Stars of the silver screen used to be entertained at the Paso Robles Inn.
Piano virtuoso Ignacy Paderwski visited Paso Robles every year between 1914 and 1939. He became a fixture in the Paso Robles’ glitterati scene, performing to the likes of Douglas Fairbanks, Boris Karloff, Bob Hope and Clark Gable in the Paso Robles Inn.
